We decided to have an easy day today and spent the morning getting caught up on doing some laundry and planning some more activities for our time here. We were a bit tired from a few hectic days so thought a beach day was in order.
We managed to figure out how to get most of the way to the beach and find some parking which is definitely at a premium. We ended up having to carry our umbrella and beach mat only about three blocks and got set up shortly after noon and settled in to read our books. It was about 70% light cloud so we didn't have to worry about getting fried and the temperature was a comfortable 26C.
After spending the afternoon there, we returned to our villa, walked to the grocery store and then went out for supper. We met a few people at the restaurant that were helpful in giving us some suggestions of what to do for the next week.
I didn't operate the shutter on a camera or iPhone all day so have no photos to share!
I do have a couple of observations however.... dog owners here are no better than in Portugal. You have to walk with your head down or be prepared to wash your shoes.
There is a possibility for a moneymaking opportunity if things get tough back home. The freelance parking place valet. Put on a safety vest and watch for someone vacating a prized parking spot in a prime area (main street Niagara-on-the-Lake). You jump into the space and prevent anyone from parking there unless they give you a euro (could be a twoonie in Niagara-on-the-Lake). Just tinkin'....
